Announcing your sexuality to family, friends, and colleagues for the first time – and fretting over their reactions – can be an emotionally difficult experience. Telling your story, however, can be a healing experience – both for you and others. Come listen to these courageous and inspiring stories, happy endings or otherwise, to rally around and support these amazing humans in our community.

A story slam is a competition based on the art of storytelling, allowing folks to share their experiences by crafting stories within a 5-10 minute time limit. Story-tellers will write down their names and a title for their story. The event hosts will randomly pull story-tellers out of a hat (or bowl or bucket), and one-by-one, they will take the mic to tell their tale!

The event is free and open to the public!
