Yet ANOTHER Story Slam! – September 3rd – “Detours”

Our SIXTH story-telling event will be held on Saturday, September 3rd from 7 – 9pm at the 1911 Distillery in Lafayette. Yes, that’s right, people keep coming so we’re doing it again!
The theme for the event will be “Detours.” The event is free and open to the public!

A story slam is a competition based on the art of storytelling, allowing folks to share their experiences by crafting stories within a set time limit. Story-tellers will write down their names and a title for their story. Judges will randomly pull story-tellers out of a hat, and one-by-one, they will take the mic (or the front seat) to tell their tale. If you don’t sign up when you arrive but feel inspired after hearing others, the more the merrier! Story slam hosts will judge each story, and the winners go home with a goody bag filled with local homemade and handmade treats.
The address is 4472 Route 20, Lafayette, NY. The building is on the north side of Route 20, and sits back off the road a bit. Can’t wait to see you there!
